Had an awesome time in San Diego! The ocean waves and sounds were intoxicating!  We visited Old Town, La Jolla, the Zoo, Pt. Loma and the Seaport and Gaslamp District. My daughter did a tandem glide at Torrey Pines and is still smiling. We saw 14 Blue whales and even tried sea kayaks.

The condo was lovelier than the pictures online.  Fresh flowers, bubbly and monogrammed sheets and towels were a very pleasant surprise.

Thanks for a great vacation enjoyed by three generations of this family.

We read all the entries about how nobody wanted to leave this place and thought, “Is that really all everyone can say?” However the last 2 days here we have dreaded leaving. Our family had a wonderful time here. The accommodations are second to none.  Location, location, location!  Many hours spent looking out the windows, yes we are among the binocular peepers!  Time flies so quickly and this vacation will be memorable for our entire family.  I hope the next visitors have a great experience as well. I hope that you had a wonderful holiday. We certainly did!

Your place on the beach was just brilliant!  We were greeted with nice bottles of champagne and sparkling apple cider in the entryway and a spectacular view from the living room. It was just stunning as we arrived near sunset. 

As I walked through the home and opened cupboards on our first night, I found myself surprised over and over again by the attention to detail. Your ability to anticipate your guest’s needs is to be commended! There were games for the kids, books at every turn and even a pair of binoculars.

I hope that you and your amazing housekeeper found everything in order. We had such a fabulous time and hope that you’ll let us come back soon!

We had a great time in Ocean Beach and San Diego last week. The condo was everything you advertised it to be. The weather was wonderful and we kept the windows open all the time we were in the condo.  There were more people per square foot than we are used to seeing in Texas. We hope to go back to Ocean Beach some day and you will be the first one we call when we do. Thanks for being so easy to work with on the rental and thanks for the champagne. Call if you are ever in the East Texas (Tyler) area. We would love to meet you. We hope to take you up on your Alaska planning in the next couple of years if you are still game to help someone from the lower 48. Stay warm in Alaska and enjoy the snow.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place!  It was even better than in the pictures! We really appreciated fresh flowers, champagne, all the detergent, shampoo and so on – it is not something that is normally there at rental places. I really loved the flowers! The view of the fireworks at SeaWorld from the back balcony was great! We have really enjoyed our time here and will plan on staying here (hopefully!) the next time we are in San Diego.

Tom and Pinkie,
We had the best time! This is just what the doctor ordered. Your place is amazing, we saw dolphins twice, a sea lion by the pier while having breakfast and the largest jellyfish we have ever seen floating just under the pier. We never walked so much, but that was the best part. We only took the car out twice for a couple of sightseeing events. The Farmer’s Market on Wednesday was almost the best part, fresh produce for an amazing steak dinner, can not beat that. All in all one of the best vacations we have had in a while. We enjoyed your home and all the special touches. Thank you for allowing us to share it. We will be back.

Dear Pinkie,
Thank you so much for renting your amazing place to us for this magical weekend. On our first evening here, we got to see dolphins jumping in the surf right outside our bedroom. We got to witness amazing sunsets and the waves pounding on the rocks below. We got to walk to amazing bars and restaurants and it was a quick drive to Petco Park to see the Padres in an 11 inning win against the Washington Nationals. Our little daughter Sienna slept in the huge master closet and she loved the dark and the quiet, and let us sleep “in” until 7:30 or 8:00 every morning which was so nice. Your place is immaculate and gives us all the comforts of home. We can not wait to come back soon.

We just wanted to let you know that our deposit refund cheque arrived safely today – thank you very much. I also had noticed in the binder you have in the condo (which was really helpful, by the way) that you asked for a picture or two, so I’ve attached a couple that I took while we were there. I must say “Thank You” again for our wonderful week in your very special San Diego home. It was just ideal for our family, including our two little granddaughters. We loved the Ocean Beach community and being within walking distance of so many great restaurants, shops and the pier. We were easily able to access Sea World, the Wild Animal Park , Balboa Park , the Gas Lamp district and even a day at Disneyland and knew that we had a wonderful ‘home away from home’ to return to each evening.

We hope to be able to return one day soon – and if you’re ever in Calgary, give us a call.

What a wonderful place with a  beautiful view!  Thank you for the flowers! Champagne! This is an excellent location for day activities to the Zoo, Sea World, Leggoland, Coronado, Old Town and La Jolla. We played all day and then came home for a wonderful sunset. We also saw Dolphins in the mornings! This was an excellent place to have a two year old to play! We hope to be back soon!!

Great Place – we made it a point to be here for sunset each night. Each night was different and spectacular in its own way.  Enjoyed Ocean Beach. Ate pancakes on the pier at the annual pancake breakfast. Also spent a day at Coronado – great Mexican food at Miguels in the El Cordova Hotel. Thanks for the champagne and sparkling cider & flowers. A great touch.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.  It is the prettiest condo ever.  I was especially excited to see that the beach was just a stairway down from the house.  I loved hearing the sound of the waves and seeing it crashing against the rocks.  You never get that in Singapore.  We were also very lucky to be able to see the 4th of July fireworks off the Ocean Beach pier just from the house windows without even having to take a step outside.  Overall we had a wonderful time in San Diego (beaches, SeaWorld, Zoo….)

I always knew that when I finally made it California I would stay in a house on the water.  Your place has made our first trip here as a family, a memorable one.  The location was perfect for everything (from Mission Beach, Belmont Park, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Birch Aquarium, San Diego Zoo, the Midway and scenic drives).  We had little time to rest, but the condo was the perfect retreat at the end of the day.  Loved  the flowers.  How coincidental the last family that stayed here lived 15 minutes from us.  We are very lucky to have found such a PERFECT place.

March 1, 2008 First evening dreary and overcast but the view was still WOW!! And the condo was WOW!! Enjoyed the champagne.

March 2, 2008 Woke up to the sunrise, clearing skies and a beautiful ocean view.  Spent the day walking the beach to downtown OB Enjoyed a meal at Village Kabob Greek restaurant. Great gyros and Greek salad at a reasonable price. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset after dinner at Nick’s.

March 3, 2008 Had a beautiful day at Balboa Park. The Prado was a great dining experience!.  Enjoyed another fantastic sunset.

March 4, 2008 Woke up refreshed, sipping java watching 2 ships come into port. Got a glimpse at something flipping  through the water. Kinda' resembled flipper and his family. Then it was off to a day at Old Town.

March 5, 2008 Another great morning on the beach, the refreshing breeze. Back to Balboa Park today to catch the train museum that was closed Monday plus a few other attractions, a bit cooler but still sunny today, much better than the ice storm Ohio had last night.

March 6, 2008 Early to rise again having our cup of jo and toasted baguettes, watching pelicans, seagulls…today we walked along the beach to downtown and beyond and had a great hamburg sitting in the old VW (Hodad’s) great experience and great hamburg, walked out on the pier and just had a very relaxing day.

March 7, 2008 Flipper and the family provided us much entertainment this morning as they were very close to shore. We took another stroll on the beach and then drove along the shore up Sunset Cliffs Blvd, making several stops, then on to Old Point Loma Lighthouse. On our way we ate a fabulous lunch at Point Loma Seafood, a fun place to eat for those with patience.

March 8, 2008 Our last full day at “Our Place” we were treated by many dolphins dancing, flipping and spouting this morning. The day was spent at Gas Lamp Village and the harbor exploring some of the ships. Spent a very sad evening packing.

March 9, 2008 We enjoyed our last cup of coffee watching the waves pounding. It has truly been a wonderful week and 1 day with unbelievable accommodations. The champagne is gone and the flowers are almost all withered away but oh, such memories and photographs we shall have.

Dear Pinkie,
Thank you so much for allowing us to share your incredible home. My children loved everything about the place from the TV's in every bedroom to watching surfers, dolphins, etc. from the living room.  We also had the great opportunity to meet 2 of the 3 neighbors and they were so gracious. We had the most relaxing vacation and hope to be back in a few months for a month next time. The flowers, champagne and kid's champagne were wonderful and such a great surprise. We were the first to loose the keys to the condo, the ocean ate them. Thanks for rescuing us, Pinkie, since we were here only one hour.

Your place had something for all of us: the beautiful view, dolphins in the water on two mornings, my son loved exploring the tidal pools for anemones, urchins, hermit crabs, sea stars, etc. and our teenage daughter appreciated the internet hookup!! We explored Seaworld, the Zoo, the Birch Aquarium, KnottsBerry Farm and had great meals in Ocean Beach and in the city. And my husband went golfing twice, once with our daughter. I even caught up with a cousin in Santa Ana who I haven't seen in over 30 years!! It was a great vacation and it really was the photo on your website that caught my eye and clinched the location for our spring break. We were undecided as to where to go until I saw your website and the availability of the exact week the kids were off school - it was destiny!! Thank you  again.

OB (Ocean Beach) is freakin' great!
The kids and I had a fantastic time. The condo is magnificent…..but the views WOW!  Chandler fished every minute we were at the condo.  San Diego is a beautiful city as well (the Zoo, Gaslamp, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Old Town, etc.) OB is like Amelia Island but better shops.  Wednesday’s Farmers Market was extra cool...

The pictures on the internet are just a tease compared to what quality of home you have made in Ocean  Beach.  Everything was so nice – from the fresh flowers, the wonderful linens, the softness of the bed and pillows, the wonderful Jacuzzi, and even a large size washer/dryer for us to use! We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay at and enjoy the Ocean views.  We were centrally located so that we could venture out each day and discover San Diego and we really enjoyed the Ocean beach local restaurants! Thanks so much for the brochures on the counter as that headed us in the right direction each mealtime.

Thank you so much for the use of your condo this past week. We were in “awe” when we came into the unit and saw the Pacific coast as a backdrop.

Thanks again for the welcoming flowers and bottle of champagne.  We used the champagne to toast our daughter’s graduation from USD and engagement.

The home will always hold happy memories for our family.

Thank you so much for the use of your condo. The pictures do not do the place justice. The views are breathtaking. This was one of the most peaceful and relaxing vacations we have had in a long time!  Reminds me of my honeymoon in Hawaii! Thanks for all the personal touches. Can't wait to come back!

What a wonderful, peaceful place. Our family was happy and relaxed, not always easy with kids 8 + 5.  Thank you for a lovely vacation we now have another excuse to go to the ocean.

The beach house was fantastic. I live in NYC, my sister lives in Portland Or, and my parents live in Spokane WA. Oddly enough, we all had conferences in San Diego during the same week. 

My parents, my wife, my sister and her husband all stayed in the house. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was so great, that we did not want to leave it. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the living room area with a panoramic view of the ocean and outside on the deck.

The house is right up against the ocean and we heard the ocean waves breaking. There is a path from house, through a gate, down some stairs right to the ocean front.  It takes a minute to get there. We stayed in the house a lot because the view was so impressive and there is nothing blocking the view.

The only problem with the house is there is only one master bedroom that looks out onto the ocean.  You'll have to fight to see who gets it. The other 2 bedrooms are nice, but they just can't compare.

I was a little worried about paying such a large sum up front "site unseen". When I arrived I was very relieved to find out it lived up to what I expected.  We left the house clean, and very quickly got our entire deposit back.

Every time I come to San Diego, I'm going to stay there. Hopefully I won't have to book to far ahead!
